Amazing Street Photography Experience with Sony a7R Mark II
Let me take a break from my traditional blog post and let’s try something new.
Allow me to share with you today some of the photos taken during this pandemic. It’s not that much but I am planning to post a regular update just like this.
Anyway, one of the reasons why I am trying to capture amazing street photography is to try and test my new camera, the Sony a7R II.
My nifty full-frame mirrorless camera is more than 6 years old and I decided to buy it mainly because I’m into photography. With its 42 megapixels, I can now achieve billboard-quality photos without any problem.
For your appreciation, let me share with you the Sony a7R II highlight specifications.
- 42MP Full-Frame BSI CMOS sensor
- 399 on-sensor Phase Detection points
- 5-axis image stabilization
- Internal 4K recording from full sensor width or ‘Super’ 35 crop
- Picture Profile system including ITU-709 and S-Log2 gamma
- Full magnesium alloy construction
- 2.36m dot OLED viewfinder with 0.7x magnification
- High-speed AF with non-native lenses
Moving forward, the featured photo was taken using Canon 17-40mm f4 L with Viltrox EF-NEX IV lens adapter for Sony @17mm – f5.6, 1/160sec at ISO 100. At around 9 in the morning, the sky is visible without any adjustment in the post and I love it.
While the photo below was taken last January 2021 at around 2 pm going home from the office, I’m so impressed with the result. Using the Sony FE 24-70mm F4 ZA OSS, the autofocus is on point and the details are superb with amazing colors. I can say enough that the focal length of this lens is the ideal range if you want to capture amazing street photography photos.
Alright! I hope you like them and I’m sorry if this post is too short. I will try to take some more next time and share it with you here in my blog. Until the next post and enjoy your day!
